Do You Procrastinate?

Do you procrastinate? Why not Just do it!?
Do you want a raise? Afraid to go in and ask your boss for one? Have you put it off for a month now, and you still aren”t getting anywhere?
Just do it!
Do you wish your husband would be more attentive? Afraid to bring it up because it might cause an argument? Have you put off talking to him about it until it has festered in your gut?
Just do it!
Can”t pay your bills, so you need to write a letter to your creditors? Afraid to, for fear they”ll cancel you out? Do you keep putting it off, saying the money will come in before too long?
Just do it!
Just do it! should be a chant for you, but it shouldn”t be taken as lightly as it just sounded. Think about it seriously. I mean, what if your boss fired you? Well, hey, that can”t be all bad if you”re having a miserable time anyway and not getting appreciated for what you can do. What if your husband got angry? Maybe that”s a knee-jerk reaction, but in the long run he remembered what you said and changes were made? What if you did get canceled out? Lessons are learned this way. Always be ready to take responsibility for the changes you may incur and the lessons you are about to learn.
Lessons are learned the way you are doing things now, also. You are learning to sit on your butt. Is that what you want? Don”t we all want to have more control over our lives? Our lives won”t change if we keep doing what we”ve been doing. Stop procrastinating.
I say Just do it! And gladly be ready to take responsibility for your actions. That”s how we grow as people. That”s how we learn as adults. Change happens. Why not take control and be responsible for those changes?
Everyone is different. If you aren”t able to effect the changes you want by saying, Just do it!, then read on to the Technique of the Week. You can learn another way to stop procrastinating.
Good luck!
