Towing Speeds
The speed needs to be geared to the age of the riders.
Age 5 to 11 – – -8 to 10 MPH
Age 9 to 14 – – -10 to 15 MPH
Age 13 to 16 – – – 13 to 20 MPH
Age 16 to 30 – – – 15 tp 25 MPH
Along with age, ability is an important factor. This means the ability of not only the riders but the driver of the boat and the designated spotter. Another is the safety gear that is worn by the rider. Riders should always wear a helmet and a good life jacket. Every year people are injured when either they meet up with an unexpected wake from another boat or they hit a log submerged just under the water.
